Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) are characterized by the presence of foci or plaques of demyelination (loss of myelin) in some areas throughout the neuraxis, leaving motor, visual, speech, and bladder control sequelae, affecting independence in basic daily life activities.

The program proposed by CIREN is intended to improve many functions with a system of comprehensive and intensive rehabilitation.


 

The Initial rehabilitation program for infantile paralysis and other static lesions of CNS program includes the following:

This program requires 28 Nights of hospitalization.

The program includes the following medical services:

  1. Evaluation and preparation of medical history
  2. Specialized medical care and physiotherapy
  3. Neurology medical Interconsultation
  4. Neuropsychology medical Interconsultation
  5. Diagnostic tests, which includes:
  6. Hematocrit
  7. Hemoglobin
  8. ALT
  9. Cyturia
  10. Poliphysiotherapy (38 sessions)
  11. Ozone therapy (10 sessions)

Initial rehabilitation program for demyelinating diseases of the CNS program includes the following:

  1. 28 Nights of hospitalization. (The Hospitalization will include accommodation in a private room, nursing care and medical assistance, evaluation and preparation of medical history, as well as three course meals).
  2. Specialized medical care and physiotherapy
  3. Neurology medical Interconsultation
  4. Neuropsychology medical Interconsultation
  5. Diagnostic tests, which includes:
  6. Hematocrit
  7. Hemoglobin
  8. ALT
  9. Cyturia
  10. Poliphysiotherapy (38 sessions)
  11. Ozone therapy (10 sessions)

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The above program does not include medications for certain conditions such as depression, blood coagulation, etc.
  • Medicaments, fluids, blood and derivatives to be used, as well as additional procedure(s) performed not included in the exact treatment would be invoiced separately on upon the conclusion of said treatment / procedure(s)

 

ACCOMMODATION:

Private room with the following features:

  • Electronic patient bed
  • Equipment for disabled patient
  • Oxygen hookup
  • Three AP meals taking into account the patient’s preferences and / or special diets prescribed by physician
  • Fully equipped private bathroom
  • Infirmary and nursing care
  • Colour TV with national and international channels
  • Local and international phone services (extra cost will apply)
  • Safe box
  • Internet service on every floor
  • Laundry services

ADDITIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM:

  • Assistance in visa issuance and extension (If needs be)
  • Each patient/ companion will be assigned a multi-lingual field member with the mandate of attending to all of our patients’ translation and personal needs;
  • 20 hours internet service;
  • Local airport pickup and drop off; and
  • Hospital pickup and drop off (if needed)
