Functional rehabilitation for the elderly, or geriatric rehabilitation (GR), is a specialized field of medicine focused on the comprehensive assessment and therapeutic management of older adults with the aim of restoring, enhancing and improving functional capacity, particularly those with disabling impairments, chronic diseases, or injuries.
